By accessing LegalArmour.ca and subscribing to our services, you (the “Member”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Legal Armour is a web-based platform that provides immediate, on-demand video access to licensed Canadian lawyers (“Counsel”) during law enforcement encounters.
Scope: The service is intended for immediate advice and de-escalation during an active stop or detention.
No Ongoing Retainer: The $27 fee covers the immediate encounter only. Use of this service does not create an ongoing solicitor-client relationship for future court dates or litigation unless a separate agreement is signed with a law firm.
The Flat Fee: Membership is $27.00 CAD per month, plus applicable provincial taxes (HST/GST/PST).
Automatic Renewal: Your membership will automatically renew each month on your anniversary date.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your Member Dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will have access until the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided.
Age: You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Canada.
Lawful Use: You agree to use the service only during lawful encounters. You may not use the service to obstruct justice or interfere with an officer’s lawful duties.
Browser Requirements: As a web-based service, you are responsible for ensuring your device has a working camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection.
Cloud Storage: By activating a call, you consent to the video and audio being recorded and stored on our secure Canadian servers.
Solicitor-Client Privilege: We take all reasonable steps to ensure your video calls are private and protected by privilege. However, following the lawyer’s instructions (such as using headphones or staying in your vehicle) is vital to maintaining that privacy in public spaces.
No Guaranteed Outcome: While our lawyers aim to protect your Charter rights, Legal Armour cannot guarantee that you will not be ticketed, arrested, or charged.
Technical Failures: We are not liable for service interruptions caused by your mobile carrier, dead batteries, or “dead zones” in cellular coverage.
Maximum Liability: To the extent permitted by law (including 2026 Consumer Protection reforms), Legal Armour’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Member in the 12 months prior to the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
Payment is not received.
The service is used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
You threaten or harass our Counsel or staff.
Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario (or your province of residence) and the laws of Canada.
Small Claims: Consistent with 2026 reforms, “Low Value Claims” (under $5,000) may be brought in small claims court regardless of any arbitration clauses.
If you upload documents (ID, Insurance) to our site, you are responsible for ensuring they are up to date. Legal Armour is not responsible for legal issues arising from the presentation of expired documents.
